Trattoria a conduzione individuale. Mario è il gestore, è il cuoco ed è il cameriere. Ruoli che, tra l'altro, svolge egregiamente. Ottimi piatti della tradizione toscana. I crostini, la panzanella, la pappa al pomodoro. Per i primi abbiamo provato sia la pasta con zucchine e uovo che la pasta all'aglione. Ottime. Anche i prezzi sono quelli di una volta. Accetta solo contanti.

Ristorante tipico toscano. Il gestore, Mario, è una persona super espansiva che ti guida nel menù. Consiglio di seguire le sue proposte. I piatti sono tutti gustosi e ben preparati. Prezzi convenienti.

Went there on our first night in Cortona, tried a lot of restaurants afterwards, but eventually came back 2 more times on our last 2 nights. The best, most authentic local meals you can think of, lovely food and lovely people! Grazie mile!

Everyone must eat here at least once. A one-man show; Mario hosts, cooks and serves. This is like going to eat at someone’s home and is a special experience. Knock on his door ahead of time and see if he’s around so you can make a reservation for dinner.

Best pasta in town! They serve very good pasta. We had tagliatelle zucchini and tottelini fumo. All the simplicity, with a lot of flavor. All of that for a good price. Mario is always willing to have a good chat

This restaurant has some of the best Italian food I have ever tasted. The owner and cook, Mario, is a charming and friendly Italian gentleman who also teaches cooking classes sometimes. I came back to Cortona after six years just to eat his fumo pasta (so so delicious). If I am ever in Italy again, I will return to Trattoria Etrusca for more. Could not recommend more highly!

The best pasta in Cortona here, order the ravioli al Fumo. Spent some months in Cortona about ten years ago, and this was my favorite local spot. Went back ten years later, with the express purpose of having the fumo, it’s like a spicy Mac and cheese with pancetta. Fumo (smoke) is a dish local to Cortona and worth seeking out while visiting.

Quite a nice place. We were here on a friday, so the street was busy with motorbikes, which made it difficult to relax. Food was fine. Prices were okay. Sometimes the host seemed a bit more interested in the locals outside the restaurant rather than the people inside.

Super happy to have stumbled across this place. This was the best meal we had in Tuscany. We had the aglione pasta and the tagliata. When it’s warm you can eat on the patio. You can’t beat the prices here! Thanks Mario!

Best pasta in town. The best pasta known for this restaurant is aglione - with green tomato and whole garlic. I can eat this everyday till i die.
